It's the mandate of the SEC to enforce the directives from Congress. Gary Gensler answers to Congress yet they seemingly have done nothing to give this man any clear direction.
Gary Gensler successfully wiped $47,000,000,000 off TOTAL3 in less than one week after unilaterally declaring 19 altcoins to be securities and its just going to get worse from here.
It was reported in the news this week that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong met with Gensler face to face and was met with an “Icy Reception”. Armstrong said Gensler directed him to talk to his lawyer and wouldn't provide any helpful information when asked what actions they should take in order to be complient. The SEC has since charged the US crypto exchange for the unregistered offer and sale of securities related to its staking-as-a-service program.
The SEC is "protecting investors" by crashing the markets and destroying our investments. It's time to hold Gary Gensler accountable.
The XRP vs SEC lawsuit is proof that these cases make their way through the courts at a snails pace so expect this to drag on for some time with the sword of Damocles hanging above the head of the crypto world. Congress needs to wake up and serve this man his notice.
