I’m from a South East Asian country. I didn’t buy anything cool like people buying a whole BTC or didn’t even buy any food with moons. I also didn’t pay anything like my rent using moons.
For context over here, $2 means food for a whole day!
But moons gave me freedom mentally and financially to pursue my passion for higher studies. I’m going to graduate this year with a bachelor’s degree and I have a job offer letter. It’s really a decent pay for a fresher in my country with yearly salary around 5000 USD.
That translates around $416 per month and around $380 after all the cuts. But I have no interest in it and I want to pursue a Master’s degree. But the problem was although the money wasn’t extremely needed and I have really good parents that take care of me, some part of me wanted to not miss that income and maybe contribute to house expenses or maybe even buy any stuff I want.
But after watching moons around price $0.46 last week, I thought otherwise. At around $0.46, the 20% reward every month itself translates closely to MY SALARY! This made me think twice and stopped the itching feeling that I was losing nice income. Not that I will cash out that extra moons but I’m happy they are there.
Thank you reddit and the MOONs project that’s really making the lives of third world citizens like me more liveable and happier!
